Description

The 477 series of bench photomultiplier supplies are ideal for research and educational application. Through the use of state of the art surface mount technology, this series is able to offer considerable advantages over equivalent products both electrically and mechanically. These supplies are designed to operate from an AC supply of either 230V or 115V, and provide a closely controlled high voltage output. The use of high stability components in the feedback system ensures a low temperature coefficient and good long and short term drift.

The output voltage may be controlled from zero to maximum output by either an external control voltage or by a front panel multi-turn potentiometer. These units will deliver up to 4W of regulated power at their maximum voltage settings. A split rail auxiliary supply (5V and 15V) is also provided for use with associated amplifier discriminator.

Limit dV/dt: Selectable from the front panel ("Ramp"), this limits the rate of change in output voltage to <2V/mS (at max output voltage) reducing the chance of arcing within PM tube.
Temperature coefficient <50ppm (0.005%) / deg.C at max voltage output.
Protection Current is limited to approximately 110% of the maximum rated output, until overload condition is removed.
Voltage & Current Monitor Direct reading 4.5 digit meter, switch selectable between the HV output voltage & current. Also available are buffered monitor outputs for both high voltage output current and voltage (available from the analogue port on the rear panel, 0 to 10V corresponding to 0 to 100% of the rated output).
Auxiliary Output Fixed +/-5 and +/-15V dc @ 250mA, regulation: +/-1%, ripple: 10mV pk-pk.
